I am brand new to the books of Karma Wilson, but I want to thank Karma for sharing her thoughts in the June 2008 issue of The Writer. I hope to someday write children's books, and I appreciate this interview so much! You have encouraged me, Karma, because you have liked many of the same authors and aspects of writing that I do, and you were also told to basically forget it because of the money issue. Sad to say, I did give up on my dream for a while and actually avoided spending time reading what I really wanted to write. I recently decided (at mid-life)that it's okay for me to work at something else but keep working on my dream, too. I felt that I needed a mentor, even unofficially, and I think I have found her! I appreciate your website and the interview. Thank you for inspiring me.
