In pursuit of my love of all things rhyming I googled “Rhyme” and trolled the news section results.
This is a fun and cute little story.
In Tacoma, WA and a judge got fed up with a lawyer who filed an overly long (wordy) lawsuit. So he wrote a limerick to the lawyer telling him to refile something shorter.
There are two lessons to take from this: 1. Big words and fancy phrases do not make for good reading. 2. Judges shouldn’t write limericks if they don’t have a grasp on basic meter.
Am I feeling snarky today? Guess so.
K….

However, we should not discourage anyone, from the simplest child to the wisest judge from having a go at the people’s poetry - the good old limerick. Perhaps what he meant was:
The plaintiff has too much to say,
It seems that he’s skipped Rule 8-a.
His complaint is too long,
Which sure renders it wrong.
Write again … and refile it today.
