As I get to happily inform customers nearly every day: "There's nothing better for a child to do than read!" I remember the pride I felt at "reading" (I had it mostly memorized) Sendak's Chicken Soup With Rice all by myself. It's been a marvelous adventure ever since. I completely agree!
